This equipment is using high intensity ultrasounds (similar to the one used in echography) in order to localize and visualize the tumor, and then to bomb it with a very intense fascicle of focused ultrasounds. This bombing is heating and destroying the tumor tissue, without affecting the adjacent tissue structures.

Fusion Imaging is the latest state-of-the-art medical imaging technology, consisting in dual real time display on the ultrasound scree, of the ultrasonographic images and of the corresponding sections from CT/MRI, previously captured and stored in the memory of the ultrasound equipment. This significantly increases the precision and accuracy of locating tumor formations.
